The Max-Planck-Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg, Ger­many, is offering a full-time position as Technical Assistant (BTA, CTA or MTA) in the  laboratory of Dr. Eirini Trompouki. The position is available for an initial period of one year with the possibility of extension.

Our Institute investigates the molecular basis of the immune response and other topics of the developmental biology, such as the origin and differentiation of the immune cells as well as the development of vertebrate embryo. Another main focus of the Institute is Epigenetic. This area deals with inheritable traits, which are not caused by changes in the DNA sequence.

Your tasks

Our laboratory cooperates closely with the research group of Dr. Wlodarski of the University Hospital of Freiburg and we are interested in understanding human diseases on the zebrafish and mouse model. For this purpose, molecular and biochemical techniques such as PCR, gel electrophoresis and western blotting are used.

Your qualifications

Applicants should be trained as technicians and must be organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative. Knowledge of molecular biology techniques and animal handling will be beneficial. A bilingual communication skill (English/German) is required.
