Curriculum

The goal of the curriculum is to train students in experimental methods as well as in scientific reasoning and logic, effective communication and ethical behaviour.

The IMPRS-IEM curriculum consist of courses mandatory to all fellows and training that students can choose based on their needs and interests. In addition, to fulfill the requirements for doctoral candidates of the University of Freiburg, our fellows have to participate in two upper-division literature seminars (so called 'Oberseminare') and two teaching assignments. One of these supervisions has to be performed in a practical course of the Faculty of Biology.

In addition to courses listed below IMPRS-IEM fellows have a possibility to participate in courses offered by SGBM and International Graduate Academy of University of Freiburg. Interested students should contact IMPRS office for more details.
