Research InterestsThe KANSL chromatin modifying complex, comprising of MOF and its associated proteins, have recently being shown to localise to the mitochondria and regulate mitochondrial gene transcription. However, mitochondrial import of these proteins and their precise mechanism of action is largely unknown. My project broadly aims at characterising the mitochondrial pool of these proteins in order to understand the crosstalk between the nucleus and the mitochondria under different physiological conditions.
