Research interests
Plant flooding stress responses are strongly regulated by the gaseous plant hormone ethylene. In addition, ethylene signalling controls chromatin accessibility through acetylation of histone tails. My PhD project aims to study how ethylene signalling controls somatic memory of flooding stress in Arabidopsis. Additionally, I also aim to explore the role of RNA-directed DNA Methylation in conferring flooding stress resilience to Arabidopsis.
