Research interests
The genome is non-randomly organized in the nucleus, and its 3D dynamic nature plays an important role in regulating gene expression and enhancer-promoter interactions. In my PhD project I aim to investigate how the genome responds to stress and signalling pathways during wound healing and tumourigenesis. These processes rely on conserved pathways like JNK/MAPK and JAK/STAT, yet how they impact 3D chromatin organization and gene regulation is unknown. Using Drosophila imaginal discs as a model, in combination with advanced imaging approaches, I aim to examine 3D genome organization at the chromosome level as well as enhancer-promoter level in response to stress.
