Max Planck Seminar: Johannes Gräf - Epigenetic editing of memory formation
The Swiss Neuroepigeneticists, Johannes Gräff is Associate Professor at Brain Mind Institute at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland and joins our Max Planck Seminar in March 2023 and will give a talk on “Epigenetic editing of memory formation”. If you would like to attend the hybrid seminar or have any other inquires, please get in touch with the host.

The lab of Johannes Gräff works in the emerging field of neuroepigenetics and deciphers cellular and molecular mechanisms of memory formation, storage. The laboratory also explores new ways to understand epigenetic mechanisms to counteract memory impairment, such as in Alzheimer’s disease, and in disorders such as PTSD. The Gräff laboratory discovered the first methylation quantitative trait locus associated with Alzheimer's disease, and identified the brain areas as well as the cellular subpopulations important for the extinction of long-lasting traumatic memories.
