Dr. Ozren Bogdanovic is currently Principal Scientist at the Andalusian Centre for Developmental Biology (CABD). He joins the MPI-IE Lecture Series with a talk on “Beyond the CpG: Dissecting the function of atypical DNA methylation during animal development”.
Dr. Bogdanovic and his team at CABD aim to understand the contributions of the epigenome to embryonic development, cell differentiation and disease. Particularly, they are interested in how DNA methylation patterns are established, maintained and altered during those processes. He also serves as the coordinator of the DANIO-ReCODE Doctoral Network, a MSCA DN project that provides doctoral training to a new generation of early-career researchers interested in understanding the complex and multi-layered process of vertebrate tissue regeneration.
