How to apply

You can apply for the summer internship at the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigentics if you are in your 3rd or 4th year of study toward a Bachelor degree in Immunobiology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Bioinformatics or related fields. Master degree students can also apply, but a valid certificate of enrolment will be required. The internships are offered for 8 to 12 weeks from May till September - you can choose when you would like to start (preferentially between middle of May and beginning of July), and how long you would like the internship to last (at least 8 weeks).

If you would like to gain lab work experience at our institute in summer 2014 you should directly contact a group leader of the laboratory you would like to join. You can find the information on our research here.

Please note, that all the positions available for internship in summer 2014 are already filled in. Thus no more applications will be accepted.

Your application should consist of a letter of motivation and CV. Further documents and information, including contact details of two referees, might be requested at later stage.

Once you find a host within our institute you will be provided with administrative support to arrange your arrival and stay in Freiburg. To make sure that all the formalities can be taken care of in time, please apply to the laboratory of interest no later than end February 2014.
