SGS: Raffaella Santoro - Genome organization in and around the nucleolus
Join us for an enlightening talk by Prof. Dr. Raffaella Santoro from the University of Zurich, titled "Genome organization in and around the nucleolus".

Her lab aims to understand fundamental principles of gene regulation, focusing on how changes in epigenetic and chromatin regulatory systems contribute to the development of complex diseases. They investigate gene expression mechanisms at various levels, including the action of epigenetic regulatory factors and long non-coding RNAs, as well as genome architecture regulation. Employing molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry methods, along with epigenomic and transcriptomic high-throughput analyses, the team explores stem cell pluripotency, differentiation, reprogramming, cancer initiation/progression, and epigenetic regulation in both healthy and diseased states.
