From the shownotes

Nature is absolutely amazing. Therefore, BBC Earth regularly sheds some light on the latest scientific discoveries to blow the mind of their audience.

This time, the MPI of Immunobiology and Epigenetics helped a bit. We reported to our British colleagues the fascinating story about the deep sea anglerfish and how females of this species shut down parts of their immune system to reproduce successfully. 🐟

Our director Thomas Boehm sat together with the BBC hosts, Chris Packham and Megan McCubbin, to report some details of the findings and gave some perspective on what this could mean for future research.
