Research and animal testing

Information on animal experiments

The MPI of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg is a research institution in basic biological-medical research dedicated to the study of the immune system and those mechanisms that control the activity of genes. An international team of scientists works at the Institute with the aim of expanding knowledge about the diverse functions of the human body in order to better understand how diseases develop, take place and can be treated.

On these pages you can find out more about animal experiments in basic biomedical research, which animals are used in the experiments and how we specifically fulfil our responsibility towards animals.
