Paul Martin is Professor of Cell Biology at the University of Bristol. He and his lab works on wound healing and has established models (Drosophila, zebrafish and mouse) to study the molecular and cellular basis of tissue repair and the associated wound inflammatory response. Currently the lab is investigating the genetics and cell biology of wound inflammation, in order to learn how best to modulate the inflammatory response to prevent fibrosis, and identifying parallels between wound and cancer-triggered inflammation. Paul Martin will give his talk “Studying inflammation in wound healing and cancer” in the Main Lecture Hall of the MPI-IE on Thursday, Nov., 23rd 2017 at 1pm.
