SGS: Karla Neugebauer - How co-transcriptional splicing efficiency determines gene output
Karla M Neugebauer, Professor of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry and of Cell Biology at the Yale School of Medicine joins our Max Planck Special Guest Lecture Series in June 2023. Prof Neugebauer will address in her talk “How co-transcriptional splicing efficiency determines gene output” – If you would like to attend, please contact the host.

The Neugebauer lab is interested in the links between transcription and splicing, as well as the role of cellular subcompartments in RNA biogenesis. Using imaging techniques that capture RNA-protein interactions as well as NGS to study these phenomena in yeast (fission and budding), zebrafish, and mammalian tissue culture cells.
