Introductory Course

The aim of the course is to introduce new IMRPS students to core facilities and animal model systems available at the Max Planck Institute, and to bring them to a comparable knowledge level. The two weeks course covers the following areas:

  • Animal models - mouse, zebrafish and Drosophila
  • Transgenic animals
  • Microscopy and imaging
  • Cell sorting and FACS data analysis
  • Mass spectrometry with data analysis
  • Deep-Sequencing and Bioinformatics

The course is offered in September and April, when the new students join the program.
