Françoise Porteu - Transposable elements and antiviral responses in HSC genomic stability and functions

The Porteu laboratory is interested in the fundamental molecular mechanisms governing adult hematopoiesis. The lab studies the role of growth factors and signaling pathways in the control of hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) self-renewal, commitment, expansion and differentiation, with a particular focus on the mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway. Lately the lab has been working on how transposable elements affect HSCs.
