Serena Sanulli - Heterochromatin organization and dynamics

Serena Sanulli’s research combines biochemistry and biophysics to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying nuclear organization. In her most recent work, published in Nature, challenged the classical models of chromatin hierarchical organization and suggest that unstructured chromatin polymers assemble into phase-separated droplets to exert their function.
