José Enríquez - Mitochondria: we are always close to the finish, we never reach it.

Max Planck Special Guest Lecture Series
José Antonio Enríquez Domínguez, group leader at the Spanish National Center for Cardiovascular Research in Madrid, investigates the mammalian mitochondrial electron transport chain (MtETC) and H+-ATP synthase, which together constitute the oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) system. The team wants to understand its role in health and disease and is particularly interested in the role of the OXPHOS system in the development of the cardiovascular system, its relevance to ischemia-reperfusion, and its influence on microvascular blood flow. José Enríquez joins the Max Planck Special Guest Lecture Series on 17 May 2018. He will give a talk entitled “Mitochondria: we are always close to the finish, we never reach it.” The lecture starts in the Main Lecture Hall of the MPI-IE at 1pm.
